Changing your plan

You can upgrade, downgrade, switch between monthly and yearly, or cancel — at any time, from Settings → Billing.

Upgrading

When you upgrade (e.g. Starter → Pro):

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Click Change plan.
  3. Pick the new plan and billing interval.
  4. Confirm.

What happens to your money:

  • The new plan takes effect immediately.
  • We pro-rate the difference. You're charged the proportional amount for the rest of the current billing period.
  • Your next full bill is on the existing renewal date, at the new plan's price.

Example: you're on Starter ($75/mo), 10 days into the cycle, and you upgrade to Pro ($175/mo). You're charged about $66 immediately (the pro-rated difference for the remaining 20 days), and from your next renewal you're billed $175/mo.

What you get immediately: new feature access, new limits.

Downgrading

When you downgrade (e.g. Pro → Starter):

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Click Change plan.
  3. Pick the lower plan.
  4. Confirm.

What happens:

  • You keep your current plan until the end of the billing period. No partial refund.
  • At the next renewal date, your subscription switches to the new plan and is billed at the new rate.

Why we do it this way: you've already paid for the higher plan, and we don't want to refund a fragment of an unused half-month while billing tightening logistics. So you simply enjoy the higher tier through the cycle and step down at renewal.

What might change at downgrade: if you exceed the new plan's limits (e.g. you have 200 prompts but downgrade to a plan with a 50-prompt cap), the dashboard shows a warning and stops adding new prompts. Existing prompts stay but inactive ones over the limit pause until you upgrade again or remove some.

Switching between monthly and yearly

Switching to yearly:

  • Saves you ~20% (see Plans and pricing).
  • Takes effect at the next renewal. Your unused monthly time isn't refunded — it's used up first.

Switching from yearly to monthly:

  • Takes effect at the next renewal. You keep yearly access until the year ends.

Cancelling

To cancel, Settings → BillingCancel subscription.

What happens:

  • Your subscription continues to work normally until the end of the current billing period.
  • At the renewal date, the subscription stops. No further charges.
  • Your data stays accessible read-only for 30 days after cancellation, then is deleted. Export anything you want to keep before it's gone.
  • You can reactivate within those 30 days by picking a plan again, and your data is restored.

You won't get a refund for the unused portion of the current period unless we agree otherwise in writing. See Refund policy.

Pausing instead of cancelling

If you want to pause for a few months (e.g. a quiet quarter), email [email protected] before cancelling. We can usually offer a temporary pause that retains your data without billing.

This isn't a self-serve feature today; it's a manual arrangement.

Common questions

Can I change plans during the trial? The trial isn't a paid plan, so there's nothing to change. When you're ready, just pick a paid plan — that activates your subscription.

Will I lose data if I downgrade? Your historical data is preserved. What changes is forward-looking access — fewer scans, narrower retention, fewer features. Your old data is still there until it falls outside the new plan's retention window.

Can I switch between Individual and Agency plans? Yes, but it requires a small workspace migration. Email [email protected] and we'll handle it.
