Account, security, and data
This section covers everything that sits around the product rather than inside it: who can get into your workspace, what SimplyRank stores about you, where it lives, how long it's kept, and how to get it out or have it removed. Account settings is the practical starting point — profile details, organisation name, default scan frequency and time zone all live there.
It's aimed at two readers. Day to day, it's for whoever administers the workspace: changing an email address, tuning which alerts land in your inbox, or tidying up after someone leaves. Less often, it's for a security or procurement reviewer asking where the data sits and under what terms — Data and security answers that, including infrastructure, encryption, tenant isolation and retention windows.
A few things are worth knowing up front. SimplyRank is passwordless: you sign in with a magic link each time, so there's no password to rotate, and keeping your email account secure matters more than usual. We don't store card numbers — Stripe handles those. And your scan data is never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. If you need data deleted or exported, Privacy and GDPR explains the request routes.

Frequently asked questions
How do I change the email address I sign in with?
Update it under Settings → Profile. We send a verification link to the new address; clicking it confirms the change, and future magic links go there. If you've lost access to the old address entirely, email [email protected] from an address you can prove you control. See Account settings.
Does SimplyRank use my data to train AI models?
No. Your prompts, brands and scan results aren't used to train any model, ours or a provider's. We query the AI models through standard APIs whose terms don't permit retention of your input for training. Data and security sets out what we store and where it's hosted.
How do I stop getting so many emails?
Each team member controls their own notifications under Settings → Notifications. Most teams turn off per-scan summaries, keep the weekly digest, and add an alert for large visibility drops. Slack alerts are available on Pro and above. See Notifications and alerts.
How is my data kept separate from other customers'?
SimplyRank is multi-tenant with isolation enforced at the database level through row-level security, so queries only ever return your own organisation's data. Traffic is encrypted in transit and the database and backups are encrypted at rest. Details in Data and security.
How do I delete my account, and what survives it?
Cancelling and deleting are different things: cancelling leaves your data readable for a grace period, while deletion is permanent and requested by emailing [email protected] from your account address. Billing records are retained for accounting purposes; almost everything else is removed or anonymised. See Deleting your account.
