Trends and history
The Trends page shows your three core metrics — visibility, position, and sentiment — over time. It's where you spot whether your AI presence is improving, slipping, or holding steady.
What you see
Three line charts, plotting your data over the date range you select:
| Chart | Y-axis | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Visibility trend | % visibility | How often AI mentions your brand, by week or day |
| Position trend | Average position (1 = best) | Where you rank when mentioned |
| Sentiment trend | % positive / neutral / negative | Tone of mentions over time |
Each chart can be split by AI model so you can see whether all four engines are moving in step or one is diverging.
Filters
- Date range — last 7 / 30 / 90 days, or custom (limited by your plan's history retention).
- AI model — view all models combined or one at a time.
- Category — filter by prompt category to see trends in a specific topic area.
- Brand — switch between your brand and competitors to compare trajectories.
How to read trend data
A few patterns to look for:
Steady climb across all models
Usually means your third-party signals are strengthening — citations accruing, content getting indexed, reputation compounding. Keep doing what you're doing.
Climb on one model, flat elsewhere
Often a sign that one model picked up a new piece of content (a press hit, a comparison post) that the others haven't yet. Worth investigating which content is driving it.
Sudden dip
Look for:
- A scan that didn't complete (check Scans page).
- A change you made to prompts (the new set may be testing different things).
- A competitor that surged — they may be pushing you down.
- A negative news story (check sentiment chart at the same date).
Volatile, jumpy lines
Common with small prompt sets (under 20 prompts). One missed mention swings the average. Add more prompts to stabilize.
How long is history kept?
Your plan determines retention:
| Plan | History retention |
|---|---|
| Trial | 7 days |
| Starter Lite | 14 days |
| Starter | 30 days |
| Pro | 90 days |
| Advanced | 365 days |
| Agency Starter | 30 days |
| Agency Pro | 90 days |
| Agency Advanced | Unlimited |
When you exceed the retention window, the oldest data drops off. If you need long-term history, export to CSV regularly (see Exports and API) or upgrade to a longer-retention plan.
Comparing periods
To compare two periods side-by-side, set the date range to the longer of the two — the chart shows the full series and you can read the comparison visually.
For exact period-over-period numbers, use the dashboard scorecards (which show vs. previous period), or export the data and calculate manually.
