Recommendations
The Recommendations page is where SimplyRank turns scan data into specific things to do. It's available on every plan — you don't need Pro to use it.
What you see
A list of recommendations, each with:
- The action — what we suggest you do (e.g. "Request an updated G2 review for high-volume prompts", "Publish a comparison page for [prompt]").
- The reason — why we're suggesting it, with the data behind it.
- The prompts affected — which of your prompts this recommendation could improve.
- The estimated impact — small / medium / large, based on how many prompts are affected and how big the visibility gap is.
Recommendations are sorted by estimated impact. Start at the top.
How recommendations are generated
SimplyRank looks for patterns in your scan data:
- Coverage gaps — prompts where your competitors appear and you don't.
- Citation gaps — domains that cite competitors heavily but never you.
- Content gaps — prompts your content doesn't seem to address.
- Sentiment issues — repeated negative mentions tied to a specific source.
- Trend reversals — visibility on a model dropping when others are flat.
Each pattern generates a recommendation. We don't show recommendations that are too low-confidence to be actionable.
What good action looks like
For each recommendation, the goal is one concrete next step. Examples:

You don't have to act on every recommendation. Pick 1–3 a week. The compounding effect over a quarter is more valuable than trying to fix everything at once.
Marking recommendations done
When you've acted on a recommendation, you can mark it as In progress or Done. SimplyRank keeps a log so you can see what you've worked on and (over time) whether the visibility metrics moved.
How often recommendations refresh
Recommendations regenerate after every scan. So:
- Daily scans (Pro+) → refreshed daily.
- Weekly scans (Starter Lite, Starter) → refreshed weekly.
Recommendations you've marked Done stay marked unless the underlying data shifts back, in which case they re-surface as new.
Plan availability
The Recommendations page is available on all plans, including the trial. The depth of recommendations scales with the data available — more prompts and more scan history produce richer suggestions.
