Dashboard overview

The Dashboard is the home page of SimplyRank. It's where you check in to see your latest visibility, where competitors are moving, and what's worth paying attention to this week.

What you see

The dashboard has four main areas:

1. Scorecard tiles (top)

Four KPI tiles showing your most recent scan results:

  • Visibility score — % of prompts where your brand was mentioned.
  • Average position — your average rank when you appear in a list.
  • Sentiment — positive / neutral / negative breakdown.
  • Total mentions — raw count of times AI mentioned your brand.

Each tile shows the change vs. the previous scan, so you can spot movement at a glance.

2. Visibility trend (chart)

A line chart of your visibility score over time, broken down by AI model. You'll see one line per model (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini).

The X-axis shows time; the Y-axis shows visibility %. If your visibility is climbing on Claude but flat on ChatGPT, you'll see it here.

3. Top competitors

A bar chart showing which competitors AI mentioned most often in this period. Useful for spotting a competitor that's surging — they may have just published a campaign or earned new citations.

4. Recent activity

A feed of recent scan results — links into individual prompts so you can see exactly what AI said.

Filters

At the top of the dashboard you can filter by:

  • Date range — last 7 days, last 30 days, last 90 days, custom.
  • AI model — view all models or a specific one.
  • Category — if you've grouped your prompts by category, filter by topic.

Filters apply to all charts on the page.

How to use it

A weekly cadence works for most teams:

  1. Open the dashboard once a week (Monday is a common choice).
  2. Scan the four scorecards — note any tile that moved by 5+ points vs. last week.
  3. Open the trend chart — see if a single model is responsible for the change or if it's across the board.
  4. Open the competitor bar — note any competitor that surged.
  5. From there, dig into Trends, Competitors, or Gap Analysis for the context.

What if the data looks wrong?

A few common reasons numbers swing more than expected:

  • Small prompt set. With under 20 prompts, one missed mention can swing visibility by 5+ points. Add more prompts.
  • A new scan hasn't completed yet. If your most recent scan is partial, you'll see warnings. Wait for it to finish.
  • You changed your prompts. Big visibility changes after editing prompts mean the new prompts are testing different things — that's expected, but the comparison vs. last week isn't apples-to-apples.
